Minnesota Medical Directors Association

The Minnesota Medical Directors Association (MMDA), the state’s only professional organization focused on geriatric medicine and long-term care medical services. 

The MMDA provides educational programming, a bi-monthly newsletter, and opportunities for networking with other like-minded physicians and other long-term care professionals.  The MMDA also serves as a source of advice to the Minnesota Department of Health and other long-term care associations.

MMDA membership is open to medical directors and professionals working in the field of long-term care.  To become a member, complete the application form below and return to the MMDA office.

MMDA' Mission:
The Minnesota Medical Directors Association: “Physicians Serving  Long Term Care” is a professional association representing physicians who provide long term care, including medical direction, chronic care and geriatric services.  The association is committed to promoting the delivery of competent, comprehensive, compassionate, and ethical medical care by:

•     Educating clinicians on cogent issues of clinical long term care and administrative       medical direction;
•     Supporting the development and exchange of knowledge to improve the quality              of long term care;
•     Creating and maintaining liaisons with organization with similar goals;
•     Monitoring regulatory bodies, the state and federal legislatures, and articulating             the position of long term care physicians; and
•     Promoting the enactment of regulations, laws, and incentives to accomplish these           objectives.
